Some readers have contacted us to get advice on how to access coronavirus data on the new Public Health Scotland interactive map.

1. On the home screen, find the 'cases by neighbourhood' box and click on the 'view cases by neighbourhood' link.

2. This brings up the Scotland map, select the local authority you are interested in (eg Highland) and this should automatically narrow down the map to that area.

3. Hover over the map and a tool bar on the left includes an arrow pointing right which allows you to click on zoom options to narrow down searches further (eg zoom into Inverness).

4. Hover over each separate area (eg Inverness Central, Raigmore and Longman) for a breakdown of figures.

5. Use the seven-day date range finder to look back at each week dating back to the start of March.

How you interpret the data is up to you.
