PLANS for more than 100 new homes in Inverness have been withdrawn – for the time being at least.

RF More (Properties) Ltd applied for permission in principle to build 44 flats and 27 homes and create 30 self-build plots on land at Wester Inshes, south of West Park.

The application attracted 17 objections and one letter of support.

The objections cited various reasons to refuse the plans, including loss of privacy, over-provision of housing and traffic access.

RF More’s agents, Ryden LLP, Glasgow, have refused to comment on why the plans have been dropped.

Highland Council area planning manager David Mudie sent standard letters to those who had objected informing them that the application had been withdrawn.

However, they were also advised that a new or amended application for the same site could be submitted at any time.

“Should any further application be received for this or a similar proposal, it will be necessary for you to write again to advise the planning authority of any concerns that you may still have,” he added.
