Inverness NHS staff served up sweet treat as housebuilders Robertson Homes arrange for Miele’s Gelateria to visit Raigmore Hospital

Staff at Raigmore Hospital in Inverness enjoyed a sweet treat after housebuilder Robertson Homes arranged for an ice cream trailer to visit the hospital and serve up free 99s for hard-working NHS employees.

Robertson Homes is currently building two new homes developments in the Westercraigs area of the city, at Torvean on Golf View Road and Great Glen Rise on Forester's Way.

As a way of saying thank you to the doctors, nurses and support staff working at the hospital, they commissioned much-loved Inverness ice cream parlour, Miele’s Gelateria, to take their mobile ice cream trailer to Raigmore.

“This was just a small way of showing them our appreciation and recognition of the work they do for the whole of Inverness.

“The city is lucky to have such a great facility and as a housebuilder which cares about the communities in which we work, we hope the ice creams made for a nice way to end another busy week.”

Tam McFadyen from Raigmore Hospital, said: “Thank you to Robertson Homes for thinking of us. It’s nice to know businesses operating in the city appreciate what our colleagues do and the important role the hospital plays in everyday life in Inverness.”

In a further boost to NHS employees, Robertson Homes used the ice cream trailer visit to launch a special NHS incentive on its Inverness houses and apartments.

The housebuilder is also offering a NHS workers the chance to secure a new home with a £99 reservation fee and £1000 off any new home or towards upgraded specifications, on top of any other existing promotion at Torvean and Great Glen Rise.
