Offices above the Caledonian Sleeper passenger lounge in Inverness city centre could be turned into holiday lets under new plans.

Applicant Ahmed Munawar has lodged an application with Highland Council to change a second floor offices suite at 3 Union Street into five en-suite holiday letting rooms.

If approved, the holiday lets would be accessed via the existing ground floor door for number 3 and the internal stairway.

A number of new internal walls would be installed on the second floor to make the existing rooms fit for use as en-suite holiday lets. Two of the existing internal walls would also have doorways cut into them.

The new walls would line up with the existing windows on the second floor, meaning there would be no visible changes from the street.
