Scottish Water is investigating issues with a sewer on an Inverness city centre road.

Last night a hole on Bridge Street in front of the city’s Town House prompted road police to redirect traffic.

The company was called to the scene and are currently investigating the issue.

A CCTV survey will be carried out and any repairs undertaken before the road is reinstated and reopened.

A spokesperson said: “We would like to thank everyone for their patience and understanding while we carry out these investigations.”
