Britain’s Got Talent semi-final this evening will feature popular Highland musician RuMac
A Wester-Ross musician will feature in tonight’s Britain’s Got Talent semi-final.
Ruairidh Maclean from Ullapool, who performs as RuMac, will compete for his place in the BGT grand final which takes place on May 31st, where the winner will walk away with £250,000 and a performance spot at the Royal Variety Performance.
RuMac performs frequently throughout the Highlands, including recent appearances at Peat & Diesel’s Black Isle Belter on the Black Isle Showground in Muir of Ord last weekend, and at this year’s Highland Heroes ceremony at The Drumossie Hotel in Inverness.
Tonight’s semi-final will see RuMac and 8 other contestants compete for 2 spots in the grand final in 3 weeks time, with one act progressing by receiving the golden buzzer from the judges and another act progressing through the public vote.
Already in the grand final after success in the first semi-finals are singers Vinnie McKee and Stacey Leadbeatter, 11-year-old guitarist Olly Pearson, and Swiss dance collective ‘The Blackouts’.
RuMac took to his social media earlier on today to confirm his appearance on tonight’s episode which will air on STV and ITV between 7pm and 9pm.
The post included a link to ITV’s website where you can register to vote on tonight’s episode, with voting opening during the episode where hosts Ant & Dec will provide details of how to vote for each performer.
