Highland in top 10 for cyclist accidents

The Highlands is in the top 10 council areas with the highest number of recorded cyclist accidents in Scotland, it has been reported.

A Freedom of Information request, reported by The Scotsman, shows the region is ninth for number of accidents involving cyclists in 2019.

There were 32 incidents in the Highlands, including four cyclists being killed.

Figures from the Scottish Government show 14 were seriously injured, and 14 received minor injuries.
