Councillor Jimmy Gray, chair of Highland Council’s Brexit Working Group is urging businesses to make use of up coming webinars that are available on the Prepare for Brexit website.

He said: “There are now 36 days to go before the end of the Transition Period and the Prepare for Brexit website is offering free virtual events that will give valuable and practical advice on growing your business in international markets and preparing your business for the end of the EU transition period.

"The webinars cover a range of areas from food and drink, aviation, exporting animals and products of animal origin, business travel and information on customs processes.

"These should assist in ensuring your business is ready come January 1. Playbacks will be available for most of these events."

A Brexit Transition toolkit is available for businesses and businesses can sign up to receive the latest email updates on EU Transition business guidance and support in Scotland.

Cllr Gray added: "Change is happening and whilst we may not have all the information yet we can still prepare."
