Farming families in the Highlands and beyond are being offered the chance to take part in a hit BBC documentary on the agricultural lifestyle.

A fourth series of This Farming Life is currently screening on BBC 2 every week at 8pm on Wednesdays.

Such is its popularity, it has now been commissioned for a fifth series, with members of the farming community being asked to get in touch to discuss the possibility of taking part.

A BBC Scotland spokeswoman said: “Joyce Campbell represented farming in the Highlands beautifully in the show. I know a lot of farmers in the Inverness and Highlands area are fans of This Farming Life, so this may be of interest.

“The documentary series will once again follow farming and crofting families over the course of a year and the BBC particularly want to hear from those who have a year of change or challenge ahead.”

Any farmers interested in appearing, or those who know someone who might be perfect for the show, are asked to get in touch with the team via assistant producer Kate Thomson at email: kate.thomson@bbc.co.uk
