A group of travellers is still at an unauthorised camp in Culloden.

They were first spotted near to the Culloden roundabout, at Culloden West, on Tuesday morning.

Officers from Highland Council are speaking with those involved now that the authority has been made aware of the situation.

A council spokeswoman said: “Our staff are liaising with the people involved and progressing the ‘Policy on supporting cooperation and managing unauthorised camps’ which sets out the multi-agency responsibilities and arrangements for responding to roadside encampments.

"A copy of the policy can be viewed on our website.”
