Highland Council has issued a strategic vision for the future of Inverness.

A bold and ambitious strategy to transform Inverness into the best place to live, work and do business in Scotland will be presented to the City of Inverness Area Committee next week.

The draft proposes getting more people living and working back in the city centre and transforming spaces between buildings to be more welcoming, attractive and zero carbon.

The report also highlights the detailed analysis that has been prepared to support and deliver the proposed change as well as work looking at the city’s identity for residents and visitors.

According to the council, it is a strong evidence-led approach that will inform the city’s transformation.

Members will be asked to approve the draft plan for consultation with key stakeholders including local communities, businesses and other parties working to deliver positive change across the city and region.
