Topics ranging from eco tourism to jobs for a green recovery will be discussed today as the Highland Climate Change conference continues.
The two-day event began yesterday and brought together delegates and people from across and beyond Highland to discuss the climate and ecological emergency, ahead of COP26 next month.
It was opened by Highland Council leader, Councillor Margaret Davidson who outlined the council’s commitment to climate change.
Other keynote speakers included Inverness MP Drew Henry, Highlands and Islands Green MSP Arianne Burgess and climate change specialists from across Highland.
The main themes explored were energy, land and sea.
Chairwoman of the council's climate change working group, Cllr Trish Robertson, said today's themes will explore net zero and resilient communities.
"Day one of the Highland Climate Conference brought over a hundred people together online to learn of the innovative work happening in Highland and gave us all a reminder of how precious our planet is and how cooperation to accelerate shared goals has never been more time critical," she said.
"It was particularly motivating to hear presentations from passionate professionals and input from those participating and championing for their communities."
She added: "Within the context of COP26 being held in Glasgow, this year's Highland Climate Conference is set to be the most important and impactful climate change conference we have ever held."
The conference is free to attend and details can be found on Highland Council's website at www.highland.gov.uk/HighlandClimateChangeConference.
