People can find out more about the work of the Highland Archive Service online this weekend.

Highland Archive Service is presenting a programme of short interviews with staff including registrars, conservators, archivists and family historians for Doors Open Days.

Normally a chance to see inside some of Scotland’s most fascinating buildings and organisations this year's national Doors Open Days events are being held virtually due to coronavirus.

The archive service interviews will be broadcast this Saturday and Sunday from 10am on the Highland Archive Service’s four Facebook pages, and the High Life Highland YouTube channel.

No payment or subscription is required to access the talks.

Community engagement officer Lorna Steele said: "Doors Open Day has been a great success for us over the last couple of years and we hope bringing it online will mean people will still be able to join us to learn about the work we undertake, and find out more about the many varied roles within our organisation and the wonderful and diverse documents we are privileged to care for."
