Scottish ministers are looking to appoint a new non-executive director to the board of Highlands and Islands Airports Limited (HIAL).

The appointment will be for three years from March 1.

The HIAL board comprises six non-executive directors and two executive directors (members of HIAL senior management).

Lorna Jack has been chairwoman since 2019, having served as interim chairwoman for two years prior to the appointment and originally joining as a non-executive director in 2014.

She said: “This new board member will join us next March, one year into our strategy and Covid-19 recovery plan 2021-26.

“Scottish ministers are looking for someone with the relevant skills, including senior executive HR experience and a real understanding of the issues facing the communities in the HIAL operating area.

“I would very much encourage applications from individuals with a genuine passion for aviation and maintaining air connectivity for the communities we serve.”

The closing date for applications is October 22.
