Heathrow and Manchester flights cancelled from Inverness Airport amid Storm Darragh disruption
Flight cancellations have hit passengers travelling to and from Inverness Airport amid the ongoing impacts of Storm Darragh.
High winds, which prompted a rare 'danger to life' red weather warning for parts of Wales and south-west England, are battering much of the UK.
As well as the red there are also amber and yellow alerts in place across other parts of England and Wales, as well as in coastal areas of Scotland, and all of Northern Ireland.
Amid that disruption, BA and Loganair flights in and out of Inverness have been affected.
This morning's 10.15am arrival from Manchester and 10.45am departure to the northern English city were cancelled earlier today.
And they have since been joined by cancellations for BA's flights between Inverness and Heathrow, with the 11.45am departure from the London airport, and the 12.30pm flight in the other direction both now axed too.
At the time of writing, departures to and arrivals from Gatwick and Amsterdam were still running as planned, but passengers have been urged to check their journey before travelling. Visit hial.co.uk/inverness-airport for more details.
