Hays Travel set for Inverness after doing deal for Thomas Cook stores

By Andrew Dixon

MORE than 550 Thomas Cook stores – including the one in Inverness – are set to be taken over by another travel firm.

It has been reported that Hays Travel has agreed a deal to buy all 555 Thomas Cook stores in the UK.

The deal is being hailed as an opportunity to offer work to hundreds who lost their jobs after Thomas Cook collapsed last month.

Thomas Cook had a store in Inglis Street.
