Harry Gow on Union Street in Inverness has been forced to temporarily close due to flooding.

The branch of the popular bakery is now undergoing repairs and it is unclear when it will reopen.

Fraser Gow, director of Harry Gow said: “Unfortunately there was a large escape of water from the Old Royal Guest House above our premises, that we are led to believe was due to a patron leaving a tap running.

“This has caused substantial damage to our shop premises. Until this has dried out we are uncertain of the scope of reinstatement works, but we are endeavouring to open again as soon as possible.”
