Inverness hairdresser wins top Scottish title at British Hairdressing Awards second year in a row

Ego Hair Design was named Scottish hairdresser of the year at the British Hairdressing Awards.

This is the second year in a row that it has won the title, and the third time in total.

Managing director Paul Ralph said: “The British Hairdressing Awards is the Oscars of the hairdressing industry.

“Winning at these awards really is the highest accolade a hairdresser could achieve.

“For us representing Inverness is something we truly believe in and couldn’t be prouder to bring this back to our city, showing the world the creativity that lives within the Highlands.”

Ego was also nominated for Afro hairdresser of the year, and owner Caroline Sanderson and Hiro Kudo were in the running for the men’s hairdresser of the year category.

Ms Sanderson and Jay Nicol were nominated for trend image.

Alongside this, with Ms Sanderson’s other business, the Salon Jedi, was nominated for artistic team of the year.
