An exclusive single malt created for the new Inverness Castle Experience is to go on sale for the first time this week.

Just 300 bottles of the exclusive Inverness Castle Experience single malt Highland whisky are to be made available to buy this week.

Seanchaidh will be offered for sale at the Victorian Market in Inverness from noon to 6pm on Thursday, with sales limited to two bottles per person.

It will have a special medal and certification, making it unique from the bottles that will go on sale in the castle shop when the experience opens next year.

A small number of bottles will be available for online reservation, allowing customers from further afield to reserve ahead of the pop-up event and pay for them on the day.

However, reserved bottles must be paid for and collected during a specific time slot on the 12th or will be returned to general sale.

Councillor Ian Brown, leader of Inverness and area, said: "The Seanchaidh Single Malt celebrates the enduring spirit of the Highlands and its rich storytelling heritage.
