HIGHLAND councillor Duncan Macpherson is singing the praises of a mystery good Samaritan who salvaged his wife’s purse and possessions.

The independent member for Inverness South tweeted his thanks after his relieved other half found items she accidentally dropped on a walk home from work placed on the doorstep of their Cradlehall home.

The NHS worker was initially unaware she had dropped the contents from her rucksack.

In his tweet, Mr Macpherson explained: “My wife works for NHS Highland at Raigmore Hospital.

“Walking home, unaware her rucksack zip had opened, her purse and other contents fell out!

“She retraced her steps, but no joy! Returned home two hours later and was thrilled to find her purse on the doorstep!

“Thank-you honest person.”
