Inverness Ice Centre has been coming up with some savvy new ways to combat the rising cost of energy prices.

It will be hosting GINverness this Saturday, August 13 in order to help raise some funds for the vital sporting facility.

A chance to sample gin, listen to live music and party with friends, the event is promised to be a great occasion.

Michael Green, chairman of Inverness Ice Centre board said: "GINverness has 20 distilleries attending including the brand new and soon to be launched Inverness GIN!

"We have Blazin Pizzas and Mieles both in attendance providing food and sweet treats throughout the day.

"Our Instagram area and décor is being done by a fabulous local business Elements by Chloe, who did some of our event décor for Strictly Inverness."

The event will be split into two sessions, the first running from 1pm - 4pm and the second from 5.30pm - 8.30pm.

Tickets cost £20 with discounts for group bookings of five or more.
