A lorry driver has been taken to hospital after a fuel tanker came off a Ross-shire road.

The A834 near Jamestown, between Strathpeffer and Contin, remains closed following the one-vehicle crash at 11.05am.

A spokeswoman for Police Scotland said the man had been taken to Raigmore Hospital but the extent of his injuries are not known.

Emergency services including two fire appliances from Dingwall and a Highland Council roads team are at the scene.
