A FORT Augustus man was remanded in custody and will be sentenced at Fort William Sheriff Court next month for breaching bail by being at Farraline Bus Park in Inverness this week.

Appearing from custody at Inverness Sheriff Court Luke Mobsby of Jenkins Park, Fort Augustus admitted a breach of curfew by being at the bus station in Inverness on Tuesday, October 27 at 7.30pm in breach of an order imposed at Fort William Sheriff Court.

He also admitted behaving in a threatening and abusive manner, shouting and repeatedly kicking a police van as he was taken to Burnett Road police station.

Depute fiscal Martina Eastwood said he was arrested after a bus driver refused to admit him on the bus because he was drunk. Police asked him to go away and get a later bus when he was sober but he became abusive.

His solicitor Marc Dickson said Mobsby was already subject to supervision and was due to appear at Fort William Sheriff Court on other matters on November 3.

He said he had gone to Inverness with his girlfriend for her to board a bus to Glasgow. He met a friend and they had been drinking.

Sheriff Sara Matheson deferred sentence until November 3 at Fort William.
