A former Inverness busker accused of a series of sex offences is to appear at the High Court next month.

Kim Avis, also known as Gordon, faces a total of 25 charges.

These include accusations of raping three women and attempting to rape one of them when she was 12.

Avis (56) was originally due to appear for a High Court hearing in March, but cases were delayed because of the coronovirus pandemic.

He is now set to appear for a preliminary hearing at the High Court in Glasgow on August 20.

The allegations cover a period between January 1997 and March last year.

He formally pleaded not guilty to all the charges against him last November.

He did not seek bail and was remanded in custody.
