Williamson Foodservice to host food and drink even at Drumossie Hotel near Inverness
A one-day trade event for food and drink is being hosted at a hotel tomorrow.
Hospitality, catering and retail businesses from across the Highlands and Islands will be converging at the Drumossie Hotel in Inverness for a supplier gathering organised by Williamson Foodservice.
Those attending the ‘Williamson Walkabout’ will find out how to get the best value and profit from the products exhibited by 70 local, regional and national food and drink suppliers who travel north to demonstrate their ranges, provide samples and offer tastings.
Williamson Foodservice expects over 200 of its customers from the north’s hospitality, retail and catering sectors to attend the trade event that it sees as a thank you to its valued customers.
Managing director Gary Williamson said: “Our Walkabout trade event is always well attended, and I appreciate the efforts customers make in travelling from all over the Highlands and Islands.
“As well as giving our customers the opportunity to identify new product ranges that will work well in their respective businesses, I always look forward to meeting so many customers at once, many of whom we have had commercial relationships with for decades. Those attending also tell us how great the tradeshow is for networking with others in the sector.”
Deals across the Williamson Foodservice range will be offered to customers attending in a special one-day-only promotional catalogue.
This offers value ahead of their imminent Spring and Easter openings. The event itself is also fully catered.
Gary added: “Despite challenges facing our sector, I remain optimistic that 2025 can be a good year for the hospitality, catering and independent retail sectors in the north of Scotland.
“We are optimising our business by investing in new technology and the best in refrigerated transport; streamlining systems; and committing greater resources to staff development.”
