This morning’s Loganair connection between Stornoway and Inverness was cancelled, as were the 2.45pm flight from Sumburgh (Shetland) and this afternoon’s flight to Manchester.

This comes as a yellow warning for snow and ice affecting the Highlands and Islands was extended by a further 24 hours earlier today.

The 10am flight from Manchester landed at Dalcross with a five-hour delay, as was the 10.30am flight to Sumburgh.

The 3.30pm service to Stornoway is also expected to be delayed by two hours.

A Loganair spokesperson confirmed this was due to weather disruption.

Weather also hit flights to and from Aberdeen Airport today.
