Three fire engines were scrambled to Dunabban Road in Merkinch shortly before 7pm on Monday after reports of a fire.

The fire began inside the living room of a second floor flat.

A spokesperson for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service said the fire was subsequently extinguished and that “everyone was accounted for”. They left the scene at 8.55pm.
