Inverness firefighters called at Ness Castle to assist person after 5-metre fall





Firefighters in Inverness were called to the woods near Ness Castle earlier today (Wednesday, August 13) after someone had been reported to have had a five-metre fall.

In the early afternoon, two appliances were sent to the scene for a ladder rescue, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson has confirmed.

“We were in attendance of a ladder rescue, and we needed some extra personnel with two appliances and assistance from the ambulance crews,” they said.

“Somebody had fallen down approximately five metres.”

They added that the casualty was safe without sustaining any major injuries.
