Court to investigate death of Inverness bus driver after accident at Munlochy

An investigation into the death of an Inverness man who was killed at a Black Isle accident hot spot is to be held next year.
A date has been fixed for an inquiry into the death of Mohamed Bakari Chache after he was killed last January while driving a service bus with nine passengers on board.
The Fatal Accident Inquiry will be held on March 9, 2020 at 10am in Inverness Sheriff Court.
Mr Chache was the driver of a 37-seater bus when it was involved in a road traffic collision near Munlochy at around 5.40pm on January 11 this year at Littlemill Bridge on the B9161.
A popular bus driver, Mr Chache who lived in Inverness, had been travelling towards Cromarty when the accident happened. Three other people were taken to hospital following the collision but were later discharged.
The notice of the hearing states that the inquiry is mandatory under section 2(3) of the Inquiries into Fatal Accidents and Sudden Deaths (Scotland) Act 2016, as Mr Chache died as a result of an accident which occurred in Scotland and while he was at work.
A preliminary hearing will be held on February 5 at 2.15pm.
