An Inverness golf centre will be closed until Saturday after a member of staff tested positive for Covid-19.

The closure of the restaurant, sports bar and driving range at Fairways Golf Centre and Restaurant has been taken as a precautionary measure so that other staff can also be tested.

In a Facebook post a spokesman said: "We have had one of our staff members test positive for coronavirus and as a precautionary measure we have decided to close the restaurant, sports bar and driving range until Saturday so all our staff can get tested.

"This is a precautionary measure in order to keep our staff and customers safe. Apologies for any inconvenience caused."
