The respective semi-finals follow Wednesday night’s launch show where Team Thursday and Team Friday a chance to calm their nerves by performing their group dances in front of a live audience. The family night also showcased the expertise and enthusiasm of several local dance troupes.

Among last night’s dancers were our business reporter Rachel Smart and Erin Smith. Although they did not make it into the top four, they scored a perfect three 10s from the judges for their lyrical dance.

Thousands of pounds have been raised for the two charities involved so far.
