Extra show for Snow Queen at Eden Court in Inverness "shifts perspectives on what's possible" theatre boss says
Due to unprecedented demand an extra performance of Scottish Ballet's The Snow Queen has been announced for Eden Court.
The extra show will take place at 2.30pm on Friday, January 31 and tickets go on sale this afternoon.
Eden Court chief executive James Mackenzie-Blackman, tweeted: "We’re super grateful that the company have agreed to this extra performance to help us meet demand.
"You know what? I’m SO chuffed about this. Not just about what big dance fans Highland folk are, and how hard my team have worked to develop audiences for dance across this incredible landmass, but also the opportunity that now lies ahead. Six sold out shows. Over 5000 people.
"This really will help to shift perspectives on what’s possible at Eden Court for programmers and producers.
"We’re here. We’re eager and hungry for world-class productions. Go Highlands!"
The adaptation of Hans Christian Andersen's popular tale marks the 50th anniversary of Scottish Ballet and will be set to the music of Rimsky-Korsakov, performed live by the Scottish Ballet Orchestra.
Tickets for the additional show will be on sale to the general public from 4pm.
Reservations are already open for Friends of Eden Court.
