An Inverness Court Officer, is stepping into the spotlight for a great cause—taking part in Strictly Inverness 2025.

Annis Nordvik is taking part in the competition to raise funds for two local charities: the Highland Hospice and the Inverness Ice Centre.

Known for her passion for fundraising, Annis has a history of supporting causes close to her heart, and this time, she’s ready to dance.

"I love fundraising," Annis says.

"I've previously taken part in White Collar Boxing for Cancer Research and raised funds with some of my neighbors for MFR's Cash for Kids and Mission Christmas.

“There's just something addictive about fundraising, and what better causes to support than Highland Hospice and the Inverness Ice Centre? Plus, it's an extra bonus that I’ll get fit at the same time!"

Annis is no stranger to giving back to her community.

She’s married to Øyvind (Vinnie) Nordvik, and together they raise their two children, Nico (12) and Marcus (8), in Westhill.

When she’s not working or spending time with her family, she enjoys country music, travelling, and entertaining friends and loved ones.

Despite being "half blind" in her right eye—a fun fact she openly shares—Annis remains determined to take on new challenges and make a difference.

This Friday, March 21, Annis is hosting a fundraising event, the Hospice HoeDown, at the Inverness Golf Club.

The event runs from 7.30pm to 11pm and promises to be a night of fun, music, and, of course, fundraising.

Tickets are £20 for adults and £5 for children, which includes free entry into a draw for a chance to win a smart watch!

There will also be a raffle on the night with some exciting prizes and games, including the popular "Heads & Tails" challenge.

Raffle prizes are always welcome, so feel free to contribute to the fun. Pay at the door and enjoy a night full of good vibes—all while supporting two incredible local charities.

Annis is incredibly grateful for the support she’s received and hopes to see as many people as possible at the event.

"YEEHAW! Hope to see you all there!" she adds with a smile.
