Emergency services attending A9 road accident at Raliabeg





Traffic is still restricted in both directions after an accident earlier his evening between two vehicles on the A9 at Raliabeg by Newtonmore this evening.

The incident occurred at around 6.50pm at the blackspot.

Traffic Scotland is reporting: “The A9 Glentruim is currently restricted in both directions due to a road traffic accident.

“Motorists are advised to use caution on approach.”

Emergency services were promptly despathced to the scene including three local fire service crews.

A spokesperson at the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service HQ told the Strathy: “We sent appliances from Newtonmore (community response unit), Aviemore and Kingussie.

“They were recalled at 9pm this evening.”

Police and ambulance officers also attended.

Details of the accident - believed to involve a private vehicle and a recovery vehicle - are still to be confirmed by Police Scotland.
