ScotRail Inverness and Glasgow route Highland Main Line trains facing disruption after emergency services called to incident on the tracks





An emergency incident on the Highland Main Line south of Perth is disrupting train services between Inverness and Glasgow.

The 7.07 am ScotRail Glasgow Queen Street to Inverness service, due into the Highland capital at 10.29 am, was cancelled.

The 5.36 am Scotrail service from Inverness south to Glasgow Queen Street, due in at 8.56 am, will be terminated at Perth.

Passengers for these and later services on the Highland Main Line are advised to check with the rail operator, with Scotrail expecting the issue to last at least until 10 am.

A ScotRail spokesman said: “With emergency services dealing with an incident between Dunblane and Gleneagles, disruption is expected to last until around 10 am today (September 25).

A train fault has also delayed the 7.02 am Lairg to Inverness service at Ardgay, by 42 minutes.
