Hamish the Polar Bear is at Highland Wildlife Park until the end of the month.

Live streams of animals at the Highland Wildlife Park aim to entertain the whole family this month – along with special shopping offers.

From Monday to Friday, October 19-23 the live streams will concentrate on one animal per day from 10am.

The programme is as follows:

Monday, October 19 – Polar Bear

There are currently four polar bears at Highland Wildlife Park – two adult males called Walker and Arktos, a female called Victoria and a young male called Hamish. It was announced earlier this year that Hamish, who was born at the park, is soon to be moved on, but he will still be there until the end of this month.

Tuesday, October 20 – European Bison

The Highland Wildlife Park will proudly present its herd of European bison. Once sadly extinct in the wild their numbers are now increasing, and the park is helping with the conservation effort.

Wednesday, October 21 – Scottish Wildcat

Find out more about the park’s very own ‘Highland Tiger’. Wildcats aren’t just found in places far away, maybe they are closer than you think – Highland Wildlife Park will introduce to you to a few.

Thursday, October 22 – European Grey Wolf

Big and bad? They may be large, but these beautiful animals are an important species. Find out how they became extinct here in Scotland and what is being done to raise awareness around the world to protect them.

Friday, October 23 – Snow Leopard

These mountain experts are secretive and shy, but Highland Wildlife Park will give you the inside scoop. There are currently three snow leopards at the park – Animesh, and her one-year-old cubs Leannain and Stardust.

A number of stores and eateries at the Eastgate Shopping Cenre are also getting involved with the animal antics, with customers able to access a range of discounts or even grab a freebie for memorising and using the daily "magic word".
