Inverness woman’s home subject of police raid for drugs





A 38-year-old Inverness woman who allowed her home to be used by drug dealers was reported anonymously to police.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that officers raided Tammy Reid's then property in Skinner Court on July 9, 2023 and found five people inside, including her.

She now lives in Laurel Avenue, Inverness.

Fiscal depute Miriam Clark told Sheriff Gary Aitken: "A black bag containing 14 wraps of diamorphine worth £480 was recovered as well as £2228.46 in cash, an axe, knives and other drug paraphernalia.

"The accused was intoxicated and required to be taken to hospital."

Defending, Shahid Latif said a background report on his client, who admitted permitting her premises to be used for the supply of drugs, would be useful. Sentence was deferred until November 4 and Reid's bail was continued.
