Drug addict fined after being found in possession of heroin at Inverness home following relapse

A drug addict who was found in possession of a small amount of heroin has been fined.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that 43-year-old Mark Lennon’s property in Anderson Street, Inverness, was searched by police who found a bag containing 0.2 grammes of the Class A drug.

He admitted illegal possesion and defence solicitor advocate Neil Wilson told the court: "He has long struggled with drug addiction.

"He does his best to stay away from drugs but sometimes his best is not enough. This was a relapse."

He was fined £360.
