Contractors WM Donald Ltd are undertaking what is forecast to be 26 weeks of work to create the roundabout as part of infrastructure upgrades at the site.

First Minister John Swinney visited the port earlier this year for a ground breaking ceremony as the site became a “nationally significant” renewable infrastructure facility, with owner Haventus promising potentially hundreds of new jobs. The site is expected to become fully operational in the second half of next year.
Access along the B9092, the port entrance and the link to the A96 will all be maintained while the current works are ongoing, but temporary traffic lights and running lanes will be in place.
