Driver appeals for information after hit-and-run incident near Inverness

POLICE say they are following a positive line of inquiry following a hit-and-run incident at the weekend.

A Citroen C1 car was written off in the collision that occurred near Lynebeg between Daviot and Tomatin at around 8.30pm on Friday.

The female driver of the car suffered cuts and bruises as a 4x4 also involved in the incident failed to stop at the scene.

A police spokesman said: "There were no serious injuries and officers are following a positive line of inquiry in relation to the outstanding vehicle."

The Citroen driver posted a plea for help in tracking down the other vehicle online.
