Breath analysis of 38-year-old Mareks Vladimirovs, of Rowan Place, Fraserburgh gave a reading of 46mcgs of alcohol when the legal limit is 22mcgs.

At Inverness Sheriff Court, he admitted drink-driving, was fined £520 and also banned from driving for a year.

But Sheriff Gary Aitken certified the manufacturing operative suitable for a drink-driver rehabilitation course, which, if he completes it successfully, will earn him a three-month discount of his disqualification.
