The improvements, which Amey is carrying out on behalf of Transport Scotland, will include repairing collapsed pipework within the A96, alleviating flooding issues at this location and improving road safety for the over 12,700 daily road users.

The work will be undertaken under single lane closures from Monday to Friday between 9.30am and 3.30pm.

Westbound traffic will be diverted through Inverness Road throughout construction, with a one way system to be in effect on the road throughout construction - with no right turn from Beech Avenue to the A96 Westbound allowed while works are underway.

The A96 eastbound lane will remain open while works are undertaken on the A96 westbound lane, bus stop layby and adjacent verge.

All eastbound traffic will then be redirected to westbound lane when works move to A96 eastbound lane and adjacent verge.

A temporary bus stop will be sited on Inverness Road.
