Documentary maker's Nessie sighting accepted as first Loch Ness Monster spot of 2022

A documentary maker's Nessie sighting has been recorded as the first of 2022.
The Courier reported last Thursday that Jamie Huntley believed he had seen the Loch Ness Monster.
It comes after veteran webcam Nessie spotter Eoin O’Faodhagain had a sighting added to the official register for 2022, but this was removed when two paddleboarders claimed it was them instead.
Mr Huntley, from Tyne and Wear, was in the area with colleague Warren Speed this week researching a project including Nessie as well as the life and legend of infamous occultist Aleister Crowley who formerly lived close to the banks of the loch. He beleives he spotted Nessie at 11.18am on March 30.
He said: "Driving down the road past Boleskine cemetery as passenger in the vehicle, I looked towards the cemetery and then a large object/creature in the loch caught my eye. At first I thought it was a big boulder or something as it was my first time to the area I don't know the layout.
"I said to my friend driving: 'What's that? It's huge!' I could see movement and the water breaking against it so told my friend to stop the car. From where the car stopped trees obscured the view so he reversed and the object/creature was fully gone.
"I had my phone out and took pictures of the ripple in the water expanding from the point the object/creature disappeared down. The object/creature was reflecting the water so looked wet, almost like a whale skin crossed with a fish skin. It was dark in colour – darker than the water surrounding it, there were dark greys, black, browns in colour. It almost looked like how a whale hump might look breaking the surface, minus the fin, there was a definite movement but didn't see too much of the movement before trees obscured it.
"It was a very big size at least 15ft long, maybe bigger, around the middle of the loch. There was a small speedboat that came up the loch after my sighting but wasn't anywhere near the spot I saw the object/creature but wouldn't be surprised if they had seen it too in the distance as they started circling around the area. Using their speedboat as a reference it was much larger than the boat, as an estimate I'd say the object was around 7ft high out of the water."
