Invergordon disturbance led to police finding knife in Inverness man’s pocket

Police were called to a disturbance in Easter Ross and discovered a man who had a knife in his pocket.

Inverness Sheriff Court heard that 25-year-old William Wlliamson, of Church Street, Inverness was outside a property in Invergordon's Queen Street at about 3.45am on May 27, 2023 when officers arrived.

Fiscal depute Adele Gray told Sheriff Gary Aitken that Williamson was searched and a knife was found in a left-hand pocket.

Williamson admitted possessing a knife in a public place without lawful authority and was fined £320. The knife was forfeited.
