ZIPPOS Circus this week paid its first visit to Inverness with a wide variety of tumblers, acrobats and daredevil motorcycles.

Leading proceedings was Norman Barrett (83), who is celebrating 21 years with Zippos. He is the holder of the Guinness World Record for the longest serving ringmaster and is well-known for his performing budgie act.

He said: “The moment you are in the ring you want to do well for the public. You want them to be happy with your performance.”

Fire act Gabi and Germaine Bolas, husband and wife team Germaine Delbosq and Gabriel Carmona, have already taken time out to visit Inverness Castle.

Argentinian national Gabriel said: “There is fantastic history and there are fantastic views. The culture and the history is very interesting. “

There will be shows each day in the Big Top until tomorrow.
