Some 200 dancers, aged from two to 23, took to the stage at the sell-out showcase to raise money for TLC to attend The Summit Championship in Florida next summer.

The evening raised £537 which will go towards flights, accommodation and other contest-related costs. They have a target of £5000 to raise.

The Inverness cheerleading organisation’s Youth Hiphop Passion team pulled it out of the bag at a Future Cheer competition in Glasgow last month to get through to the prestigious international event.

Head coach and owner of TLC, Kerri Love, said that “it’s a dream come true” to get a “bid” – an invitation to compete.

Ms Love, who is so proud of her dancers, has always said that this is what TLC has aimed for, and that the team are making history after being the first dancers selected from TLC.

A spokesman for TLC said: “We were able to raise an amazing £537.50 at our 2022 TLC show in Inverness.

“Thank you so much Nessie Treats for sponsoring us with some treat packages. And thank you to everyone who showed us support!”
