THE A9 was partially blocked to southbound traffic this afternoon, due to a road accident.

Traffic Scotland said that the incident was south of Dalwhinnie near Wade Bridge and Dalnacardoch Lodge, and traffic was very slow in the area.

Scottish Fire and Rescue said their units had not been called out to attend and, at the time of writing, details were limited.

Police Scotland said its officers have been called to a report of a crash involving three vehicles on the A9 near to House of Bruar around 4.27pm. No injuries were reported.
