Traffic Scotland warns of disruption to A9 south of Inverness after collision on northbound carriageway near Daviot

MOTORISTS on the A9 south of Inverness were being urged to take care following a collision near Daviot this evening.

Traffic Scotland issued the advice shortly after 5pm, warning that one of the two northbound lanes was blocked.

In a tweet, its official account warned: "Lane one is blocked northbound at Daviot West due to a collision.

"Traffic [is] coping well in the area but do take care."

There was no immediate word on the types, or numbers, of vehicles involved, or if there were any injuries.
