Road crash closes lane of A9 southbound near Milton of Leys, Inverness, Traffic Scotland announces

MOTORISTS were facing disruption on the A9 at Inverness after a crash closed a lane of the busy trunk road southbound near Milton of Leys.

Announcing the restriction shortly after 10am, Traffic Scotland, said: “The A9 is closed southbound at Milton of Leys due to a road traffic accident. Road users are advised to use an alternative route at this time.”

It is understood three vehicles were involved in the collision, which occurred at 9.50am.

Emergency services attended but no injuries were reported. It is understood that the authorities were hoping to reopen both lanes swiftly.
