Crash between Inverness and Loch Ness closes A82 in both directions





A crash has closed the A82 Inverness to Fort William road in both directions warn Traffic Scotland.

The incident happened shortly after 1pm at Lagnalean not far from Loch Ness and Dochgarroch and just over five miles from Inverness.

Two Inverness fire appliances were called about at 1.23pm and were still on scene at 2.15pm.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 1.20pm on Wednesday, 11 September 2024, we were called to a report of a crash involving two vehicles on the A82 near Dochgarroch.

“Emergency services are currently in attendance and the road is closed in both directions.”

Road users are advised by traffic Scotland to use an alternative route and allow extra time for their journey.
